Here is a comment we received earlier:

....He told me that his "old friend" from Liverpool or the Isle of Man or
wherever was now trying to do business as :

I thought you might like to have this information!!

So buyers beware and keep spreading the word! Every little piece of information can help somebody out.

I was contacted by a fellow named Alex who states he is a large antique furniture dealer in Wales. He will sell containers for a cheap price but insists that you pay prior to receiving photos of what you are purchasing. Reading the Antiques Supermarket website and comments on this blog... there seems to be a link between the man who contacted me and Antiques Supermarket.

I have been looking into getting containers shipped and since Antiques Supermarket comes up first on Google, I clicked on it. All the photos seems weirdly nice and the prices low, so I started asking questions. Someone named Alan Jones answered me and acted put off when I asked him for a reference. He finall had someone contact me, but when I started asking HIM too many questions, Alan told me to stop e-mailing him as he was on vacation with his wife. Then he wanted information from my banker. I smelled a rat, and told him so and he wrote me off really fast. The "testimonial" on the website does'nt check out either, just soem guy that's trying to sell his book on antiquing. I am flying to the Netherlands Saturday to meet with an exporter there and watch my container get packed myself!

I clicked on this website for antiques super market and a guy named Alan Jones e-mailed me back. He real "put off" when I asked for a reference, but eventually had someone e-mail me. Some guy named David who said he worked for "gavel will travel" auctioneers, not "Have gavel will travel" mind you. I could'nt find anything about him and when I asked too many questions, "Alan" came back and told me to quit e-mailing him because he was on vacation with his wife. Then he started asking questions about my bank and wanted information on my account etc. I told him to take a hike. I am going to the Netherlands Saturday to meet with and exporter there and watch my own container get packed, and this guy didn't ask for my bank information and was recommended by another dealer.
